Help When You Need It!

Therapy isn’t something to be ashamed of. It’s no different than going to the doctor because you have the flu. If you have an injury that hurts, whether it’s a sprained ankle or a broken heart, it’s okay to get help!

Types of Therapeutic Services:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Reality Based Therapy
  • Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Family Systems Therapy
  • Solution Focused Brief Therapy

Adoption is about helping create families. I enjoy having the opportunity to walk couples through the step-by-step process from starting out to finalizing their adoption. I have been helping couples to adopt for over 12 years. Whether you want to start adopting or you just have questions, give me a call.

If you’re a parent who is considering placing a child for adoption, please consider contacting me. I have helped hundreds of birth parents through the difficult choice of placing a child for adoption.

Society has a medication for every ill and a plan for just about everything except emotional, behavioral, or relationship problems. Despite all of the self-help books out there, many people end up just feeling more confused than ever. Give me a call – I’ll help you sort it out.

It’s wonderful when I can help my clients have “Ah-ha!” moments where they finally understand why they feel and act the way they do. Even better, I love being able to teach and empower them to overcome those problems. The best day of therapy for me is when I’m no longer needed – because that means I’ve done my job.

There seems to be a thick manual in seven different languages for just about anything – except kids! And what about all those parenting books?!? They all say contradictory things! The truth of it is that each of your children is different, and each one needs a different approach. I can teach you to apply time tested and proven methods of effective parenting that will empower you and help you to raise your children to become the people you know they can be.

Trauma, whether it stems from abuse, combat, and accident or an illness, can be difficult to understand. It changes how the brain functions and can cause us to become emotionally numb, hyper-reactive, or worse. I understand trauma and would like to help you understand and manage what happened to you.

Men's Issues

Do you ever feel out of control? Angry beyond reason? Afraid or anxious and you can’t shake it? You’re not alone. When I talk to men about their struggles, I hear the same stories again and again. Dad’s who weren’t there, stories of abuse, stories of failure at work, marriage or with the kids – stories that are all too common today. I can help you wade through the mess to find your path towards becoming a man of honor, integrity, humility and confidence.

Where did my sweet child go and who is this awkward, moody, angry stranger who took over? Yes, teen years can be difficult, but they can also be amazing adventures. I help parents and teens understand each other and move towards the seemingly elusive goal of adulthood.

If you’re a teenager, believe it or not, you might find that I understand what you’re saying – because I listen! If an adult in your life wants you to get help or if you’re looking for it yourself, c’mon by and give it a try.

Young Adults

The transition from living at home to college or work or from college into the world of work and relationships can be a real challenge. Parties, drugs, relationships, finals, studying, a difficult boss, who’s a good friend, who’s a bad friend, do they really love me or are they just using me, who am I supposed to be, do I have what it takes…these are some of the questions I’d like to help you figure out.
